A Living Legacy. Built in 1872 for the Bevin family—the pioneers of East Hampton’s bell industry—this French Empire mansion was the first in town to feature central heating. Today, it remains a beacon of architectural wonder.
Though the 12-foot ceilings and etched glass doors take you back a century, our 2016 restoration ensures your comfort is entirely modern. Whether you’re browsing our 1,200-book library or strolling the 2.6-acre estate to visit our goats, Stormy and Penny, you are part of a story that has been unfolding for over 150 years.
